Transparent, upfront pricing. Smart Ride does not use unpredictable app-style surge pricing. Any early-morning, late-night, airport, or high-demand-event adjustment is calculated and disclosed before you submit your ride request.
Quotes include routed mileage, applicable sales tax, the $4.50 CMH airport fee when applicable, and any scheduled time adjustment. There is no change or cancellation fee. Additional stops are priced using the added route distance and time.
Private Transfer (Point-to-Point)
Ideal for airport transfers, business travel, and direct transportation. Pricing is calculated automatically based on distance and time.
- Per Mile: $2.75
- Minimum Fare: $50
- Late Night/Early-Morning: 10%-20% upcharge
- High-demand events (e.g. concert pickup): Varies
Multiple stops are available. Additional time and distance are calculated automatically.
Hourly Service
Best option for multiple stops, events, corporate travel, weddings, concerts, or extended wait time.
- $50 per hour
- 2-hour minimum
- Includes multiple stops and wait time during reserved period
Independent and assisted living service: $35 for the first hour, $15 for the second hour, and $50 for each additional hour.

Smart Ride Central Ohio is an owner-operated private transportation service. Every request and quoted fare is personally reviewed by owner and driver Steve French before the reservation is confirmed.
Pricing may vary based on the route, pickup time, airport fees, additional stops, waiting time, passenger and luggage requirements, and other trip details. The applicable price is presented before the customer submits the request, and the reservation remains subject to Steve’s availability review.
